Maine Man In Prison for Child Sexual Abuse Has New Charges

The former employer of a man now incarcerated for child sexual abuse turns over new evidence.

Topsham Man Pleaded Guilty to Child Sexual Exploitation Charges

Henry Eichman, 64, of Topsham pleaded guilty today in a Portland courtroom to four counts of sexually exploiting a child.

New Evidence Against the Maine Man Were Found Where He Used to Work

The charges stem from an investigation that began when a worker from a Brunswick landscaping company found two laptops and several hard drives hidden beneath a kayak on the company's property in August 2022. According to the U.S. Attorney, District of Maine, the employee opened the devices and found that they contained child sexual abuse materials. They also recognized former employee, Eichman, in some of the files. When Homeland Security forensically examined the devices, they recovered over 500 images and videos containing child sexual abuse material, including videos showing Eichman setting up a recording device and/or participating in the sexual abuse of four minor victims from 2014 to 2016. Eichman entered an Alford plea in state court in 2018 and is currently serving a 10-year sentence.

Incarcerated Maine Man Faces Up to 30 Years in Prison

Eichman faces 15 to 30 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000, to be followed by five years to life of supervised release on each count. A federal district judge will determine any sentence.
