A Police Pursuit of the Poland Suspect Ended in a Truck Crash

The charges stem from an incident that began just before 5:00 Sunday morning when Androscoggin County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a home on West Minot Road in Minot for the report of a disturbance. While the deputies were responding to the call, it was reported that the suspect had just stolen the caller's blue Ford F-150 pickup truck, and was last seen heading toward Mechanic Falls.

A short time later, a member of the Mechanic Falls Police Department reported seeing the stolen pickup as it passed by him. The officer and a deputy tried to stop the stolen truck, but the driver wouldn't pull over as the vehicle traveled toward Oxford. Officials say the pursuit ended when the pickup truck struck a utility pole on Robinson Hill Road in Oxford. Hamilton was immediately arrested and taken into custody. Because he received minor injuries in the crash, he was taken to a local hospital to be checked over before being transported to the jail.

After Hamilton Was Arrested for the Truck, Police Learned of a Stabbing in West Minot

The victim and suspect are known to each other.
