
Paul LePage Condemns Halloween Costume Mocking Charlie Kirk Assassination
The former governor of Maine took to his social media pages to condemn a Halloween costume that depicted the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
As of November 2025, the former governor remains the only Republican to officially announce a campaign for Maine’s 2nd Congressional District, aiming to win the primary and challenge Jared Golden for his seat in the November 2026 election.

On Friday, October 31st, former Maine Governor Paul LePage took to social media to condemn a Halloween costume depicting the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
LePage called the costume—which depicted the September 10th assassination of the Turning Point USA co-founder—‘very disturbing,’ adding that making light of a horrific tragedy ‘is not comedy, it is just plain wrong.'

In his post, LePage mentioned that the person in the costume worked at a Maine TV station.
However, in the comments, he later added an update saying that a representative from the station informed him the individual had left their employment several years ago.
And there you have it! Former Governor LePage called the costume, which portrayed the political assassination, ‘disturbing.’
