One of the best Maine fairs is jam-packed with things to do this year.

We aren't ready to let go of summer just yet, but before you know it, it will start winding down, which of course means some big Maine fairs are ready to return.

The annual Blue Hill Fair is almost upon us once again, it returns August 29-September 2.

The Blue Hill Fair is a true "Down to Earth" Country Fair. Always scheduled around Labor Day weekend, the fair boasts some of the finest entertainment, food, attractions, and exhibits.

Located at 233 Ellsworth Road, in Blue Hill, the fair draws thousands from all over the state to enjoy a fun-filled holiday weekend.

The 2024 schedule is finally out! This year’s highlights include something for everyone:

Here is what you need to know before you go:

  • Thursday is Dollar Day, with $1 admission and $1 per mechanical ride
  • There will be wristband days, on Friday, August 30, from 3 pm-close, then again on Labor Day, from noon-close
  • All stage shows are free with admission children under 12 are free on all days. There is also free parking at the Fairgrounds
  • Dogs are not allowed on the Fairgrounds, with the exception of guide dogs.
