First Hoop Program Generates $43,750 for 16 Local High Schools [PHOTOS]
Free throws win basketball games! They also generate money to local high school's sports programming funds, thanks to First National Bank's First Hoop Program.
The First Hoop Program awards a donation at every home girl's and boy's games.
- $50 is automatically awarded as the base donation
- $50 is added if The First basket is scored by the home team
- $50 is awarded if a randomly drawn spectator, known as The First Fan makes a free throw basket at half time.
MDI High School received a check for $2700
Sumner Memorial High School received a check for $2300!
Ellsworth High School received a check for $2700

In the 21st Season, First Hoop donated a total of $43,750 to the above 16 High Schools and since 2005 a total of $428,150!
