What’s Going In To Where ‘Lee Credit Now’ Used To Be In Brewer, Maine?
Take a drive up Wilson Street in Brewer, out towards Holden along Route 1A, and you'll notice large pieces of machinery working to take down a building and level the ground in that area.
Some demolition is taking place. The old 'Lee Credit Now' building was on the corner of Wilson Street and Pierce Road. The business has since relocated to 30 Sparks Avenue (across the street and down a bit from the old spot) and the building they used to be in is coming down. A new building will eventually be constructed there.
That particular spot has been some sort of car dealership for decades. At one point it was called In Town Auto. At another point, it was called Adams Auto Sales.
According to the Brewer City Planning Office, Acadia Federal Credit Union got approval at last week's March 3rd Planning meeting, to construct a new financial building in that spot.
Get ready for a new branch of Acadia FCU to occupy that spot soon.
